GRAFTERS NETS A HAT-TRICK OF WINS AT PETERBOROUGH BEER FESTIVAL 2010
Grafters flagship beer 'Moonlight' is a
winner again! This time the beer landed the 'Best Bitter' in the 4% category, to
add to the 2009 and 2008 wins. Last Year the beer landed the
Supreme Champion Award as best beer of
the festival and in 2008 it was best beer from a new brewery.

Since starting his
own brewing business three years ago Phil Troop of Grafters Brewery in
Willingham by Stow has already won six top awards for his Real Ales.
Phil has been landlord of the Half Moon Inn (winner of the Gainsborough CAMRA
‘Pub of the Year’ in 2004, 2008 & 2009) for fourteen years and has always had a
healthy appetite for Real Ale.

LINCOLN BEER FESTIVAL 2010
DRINKERS were in
seventh heaven as the booze started flowing at the Lincoln Beer Festival. Steve
Renshaw, 58, organiser of the Roman-themed festival, said he was delighted with
the number of people attending the first session.
"We've had plenty of people in and enjoying what's on offer," he said.
"And the festival ale Biggus Tickus is going down well."
The beer was brewed by Willingham by Stow based brewer Grafters, and
is one of 14 "LocAles" produced within 25 miles of Lincoln.

ALE'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL FOR TOP BEERS
THIRTY-FIVE drinks
in seven categories – but there could be only one Supreme Champion of the
Peterborough Beer Festival, and that accolade was taken by Moonlight.
The bitter, brewed by Grafters of Gainsborough, came out on top after 25
eager drinkers spent three hours yesterday tasting a range of tipples to decide
which was the festival's finest...

A village pub has launched its own micro brewery to give customers a taste
of traditional beer.

AND THE WINNERS ARE.........!!
It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it, and eventually the judges
managed to pick out their favourite beers at Peterborough's Beer Festival
2008.
The overall champion was Amarillo, which is brewed by Crouch Vale, with
Raspberry Wheat by Iceni getting the silver and Hop Devil by Rockingham getting
the bronze.................................Grafters's Moonlight was named
best beer from a new brewery, and its Brewers Troop also took joint silver
with Ironbridge's Gold.
